What an amazing weekend that was! The first ever Kiwi Trail Running Film Fest sold out with over 150 people enjoying the wonderful and varied 25 movies we put on. Highlights of the day, judging from the feedback, were Aaron Smart’s ‘Just Keep Running’ and a huge positive audience response to ‘The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats It’s Young’. And as for the audience – man you guys lapped up the movies and drank Epic Beer, our sponsor, dry! Quite the day with Race Directors, entrants and film directors sharing their passion.
Sunday saw 34 brave souls decamp to The Waitakeries for Arataki Attack – a 19km gnarly old run led by Jo Johansen. The weather turned it on and fun was had by all out on the tracks topped off by a cheeky bottle of Epic Pale Ale from the back of the truck before calling it a day. Thank you! We wanted to make sure we took time to say thanks to all our sponsors, supporters, directors, friends and especially those who turned up to enjoy the day with us. Was a blast and news real soon on our next Reel Wild adventure….
